State bill gives power to MHADA by passing bill to undertake buildings not redeveloped on time!
On tuesday bill was passed by State Government giving power to MHADA ( Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) Act 1934 to overtake buildings which are not redeveloped on time forcibly
This act was brought in to progress after the monsoon this year. Due to more than 20 people died in building collapses this year.
The cessed buildings are divided into those built before 1940,1950,1969. Most of these buildings are in dilapidated conditions and need of urgentl construction
This is a brilliant initiative taken by government of Maharashtra and we will see how this act comes in force in upcoming days
